How to Watch Online Streams on your TV

There are several ways to do this and it mostly depends on your TV and your computer inputs and outputs.

Step 1

The easiest way:
If you have an output in the back of your computer that looks like this:

it is called HDMI and if you have the same input on your TV, all you will need is a cable to hook them up, then go to step two.

This is the cable you need: (about $20)

This is best way to do it because you only need one cable (audio and video use the same cable). All other solutions will need 2 cables, one for audio and one for video.

If you do not have HDMI on your computer the next best way to do this is to use a DVI cable and an audio cable. They are typically sold separately in stores, but Amazon sells them as one cable for about $28.

To use this cable, you need to check that you have the correct inputs.

If you don't have either of these, smack me and I'll add on the slightly more complex way to do it with a VGA output.

Step 2

Hook up the wires to your computer and your television.

Make sure that your television is changed to the appropriate input

Step 3

All you have to do now is change your monitor setting to use the television. In windows, you can do this by right mouse clicking on the desktop, click "properties", and go to the "settings" tab.

From there you should select the monitor 2, and you can either check use the devise as the primary monitor, or extend my windows desktop onto this monitor. (that's up to you, it's a personal preference) next choose the screen resolution and click "ok".

If you don't like the setting that you chose, don't worry, you can always change it.

Once you have your browser on the TV, click F11 to make it full screen.

If you are using a Mac, you need to figure it out yourself ;-)

New Navigation

We're going to be releasing new navigation for the site. I'd love to hear what you think:

The new nav can be seen here. You might also notice a few new things on the navigation, that were not there before. I'm going to show those to you in a bit.

When logged in, you'll be able to get around by mousing over "my home" - everything is now one click away!

You might also from time to time notice an "alert" box is open in red. This is breaking news or important messages for you. You can hide or show the alerts as you wish.

School Locator

We've been working on this for a while, so some of you might have bumped into it. We keep getting emails asking us to recommend gyms and schools for training - everything from BJJ to Boxing. So. . . we came up with a easy way to find what you are looking for and we're working hard to get event more information and special deals for ProElite.com users.

Here is what you will see:

And we've integrated the results with Google maps. You can get directions to the school, the phone number, see special discounts available and for our featured schools, see videos and photos about the school.

Hi Everyone,

I thought I'd write a quick blog to let you know about some of the new features that we rolled out today to make your lives a bit easier.

1. Forum related functionality

you can now scroll through several of the recent blogs by clicking on the arrow right from the forums page or your dashboard page

You can "flag" content that you think is inappropriate, offensive or spam. When you do this , it goes right to our support team and we will take care of it from there...

The last thing that we did for forums, is that whenever you type a URL it will turn into a link automatically, like "www.proelite.com"

2- We made it easier to set edit the title and the tags for your blogs, images, audio and video. In addition, we made it really simple to change your settings on that blog or stuff. For blogs, you can now add to "The Mix" with the click of your mouse.

3- User cards:

If you've added someone to your hitlist, then it will tell you that when looking at their page:
You'll also notice above that users can get "badged" if you want to know more about that, just mouse over the specific badge!
On your own user card, you can add a "tag line" To do this, go to your profile and fill out that box

4- Blogging

You can easily subscribe to somes blog now by RSS, either from their page (above) or from their blog (below)

5- For those of you who haven't found it yet, we made it easy for you to upload backgrounds and share them with others. Just click on "look and feel"

JB: Not sure, I'm just concentrating on Krazy right now. Just want to get it on with him and shut him up for good!

Forum: I cannot WAIT to see this rematch! I rewatched the fight here on the site -- have you watched it recently? Does it piss you off every time you see it--watching the Horse lay down?

JB: Yeah watched it and yeah it does piss me off for sure seeing him lay down. He says he couldn't get up after the fight cause he had heat exhaustion. I say he couldn't get up because of BEAT exhaustion!

Forum: Are you bringing a pillow for KH or a coffin?

JB: I plan on killing him so yeah....a coffin.

Forum: Good luck with your fight with Krazy. After watching your last fight with him and reading some interviews on Krazy, he says that he really doesn't train because he doesn't have to. He just gets in the ring/cage and does what he has to do to try and win the fight. What's your opinion on it?

JB: All I can say is that I hope he trained for this one.

JB: Yeah, the fight speaks for itself. This time I won't let it go to the judges hands.

Forum: No it's a pretty solid little team gaining fame in central Florida.Headed up by Tom Sauer.They have pretty intense training camps usually so I think Krazy will be in shape.

JB: Tom who? Never heard of him.

Forum: Did you have much weight to cut? What do you normally walk around at, and what are you at now?

JB: I have to cut about 5 lbs. Normally walk around at 165.
